Tore Johansen

Born in Bodø, Norway, 23. December 1977.

Educated at Trondheim Conservatory of Music, department of jazz studies 1996-2000.

Has worked with musicians such as Karin Krog and John Surman, John Taylor, Hal Galper, Egil Kapstad, Jan Gunnar Hoff, Anders Jormin and Knut Riisnæs to name a few. Played in the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra with Chick Corea and Erlend Skomsvoll and on other projects with Bendik Hofset, Eirik Hegdal and New York Voices. Tore has composed and arranged music for choirs, big bands and string orchestras. Receieved the Stubø-prize in 2005.

Roger Johansen

Born in Bodø, Norway 29. July 1972.

Johansen lives  and works in Oslo as a drummer/producer. Educated in Cultural Management from the University of Stavanger, 1999-2001.

Johansen released his first album Evening Songs (Taurus Records/Musikklosen) under his own name in the summer of 2005, an album for which Johansen have received very nice reviews. World Of Emily is his second release as a solo-artist.

Johansen have done one-nighers, recordings, festival gigs and tours with musicians such as Slide Hampton (US), Bob Mintzer, Hal Galper (US), Randy Johnston (US), Larry Vuckovich (US), Barbara Morrison (US), Herb Geller (US), George Garzone (US), Anders Jormin (SWE), Cæcilie Norbye (DK), Marie Bergman (SWE), Lars Jansson (SWE), John Taylor (UK), Karin Krog, John Surman (UK).

Tours and projects in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Malaysia, India, United States and Canada.

Vigleik Storaas

Born in Bergen, Norway, 9. February 1963.

Educated at Trondheim Conservatory of Music, department of jazz studies and graduated in 1984Has worked with musicians such as Chet Baker, Warne Marsh, Niels Henning Ørsted-Pedersen, Palle Danielsson, John Surman, Karin Krog, Knut Riisnæs and Jon Christensen. Performances on Jazzfesivals in Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, England, Estonia, China, Indonesia, India, Israel and Russia.

Recorded 6 albums as a leader, and has received the Norwegian ”Grammy” – Spellemannprisen twice.
